Escape to your own private island, or the next best thing: media mogul and philanthropist Ted Turner's private island off the southeastern coast of South Carolina near Hilton Head. St. Phillips Island is a pristine 4,680-acre oasis where guests experience the utmost in privacy. Turner's home on the island is a six-bedroom, four-bathroom residence positioned to take advantage of breathtaking ocean views. Three- and five-night packages accommodate up to eight guests, and additional guests may be added at a nightly rate. The main house sleeps 12. This is the home where Turner and his ex-wife, Jane Fonda lived for many years. The deck and boardwalk dock seating provides wonderful gathering places for friends and family. Fish off the dock, take a bicycle ride and explore the untouched scenery on an all-terrain vehicle. We are offering this package two ways: 3-night stay with private chef to prepare all of your meals; or 5-night stay without a chef. Private chef services (three-night experience only) and daily housekeeping are included in your stay, as is boat transportation between the mainland and the Island. A variety of non-guided activities will also be available to your group, depending on the season. Dock and surf fishing, cast net shrimping, crabbing, bicycling, trail hiking and general exploration on the Island's all-terrain vehicles are just some of activities you can enjoy.
