Who puts this event on and what does it raise money for?
The Comer Children’s Bright Night Benefit @Home is hosted by the Comer Children’s Development Board and raises money for life-changing patient care programs at the University of Chicago Medicine Comer Children’s Hospital.
How is the Bright Night Benefit different from the Comer Children’s Kids’ Fashion Show?
The Comer Children’s Kids’ Fashion Show is now the Comer Children’s Bright Night Benefit. This year the event will be virtual, but we hope to join together in person in 2022 when it is safe to do so. The virtual gala will support patient care programs at Comer Children’s. Watch the online program and learn how the hospital is serving patients during COVID-19 and making a lasting impact on kids’ lives. The program will also include a silent and live auction, a raffle, and other opportunities to make an impact on the lives of our patients.
During the program, the Comer Children’s Development Board will also recognize one of our supporters with the inaugural Comer Children’s Bright Star Award.
When does the event start?

What programs has the Fashion Show supported in the past?
Since its inception more than ten years ago, the Comer Children’s Kids’ Fashion Show has supported a variety of programs dedicated to advancing pediatric care. These programs are essential to making a hospital stay more comfortable for a family, and would not exist without our supporters. To date, almost 20 programs have been supported with more than $700,000 raised. Last year, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the board hosted a fundraiser for COVID-19 response and raised more than $100,000. Thank you for helping us make this possible!
