Option A - A Walk on Role in A Christmas Carol and one-on-one Acting Session with Bob Hess
Experience A Christmas Carol from the stage in a one-of-a-kind walk-on role, complete with a one-on-one acting session with Bob Hess (Scrooge), costume fitting, backstage access during your performance, and up to 10 tickets for your friends and family to see you in the show! Prize must be redeemed during the 2024 production of A Christmas Carol (November 29 - December 28, 2024).
Option B - One-on-One Playwriting Coaching Session with Jonathan Norton
This is your opportunity to learn from Jonathan Norton, who has served as Dallas Theater Center's Resident Playwright since 2019 and most recently was named as Interim Artistic Director. Jonathan’s writing credits include plays penny candy, Cake Ladies and I Am Delivered’t which made their world premieres at the Dallas Theater Center. His work has also been produced or developed by Actors Theatre of Louisville (44th Humana Festival), LaJolla Playhouse, Theatre Squared, Bishop Arts Theatre Center, African American Repertory Theater, Soul Rep, Kitchen Dog Theater, among others. Jonathan’s play Mississippi Goddamn was a Finalist for the Harold and Mimi Steinberg/ATCA New Play Award and won the 2016 M. Elizabeth Osborn Award given by the American Theatre Critics Association. Jonathan is a proud member of the Dorothy Strelsin New American Writers Group at Primary Stages.
Option C - Halloween Costume Created by the DTC Costume Shop
Look your best this Halloween, in a one-of-a-kind costume built just for you. Dallas Theater Center’s Costume Team will meet with you to design and build a costume inspired by one of our upcoming 2024/2025 season Productions, which you will get to keep.
CONTEST INFORMATION: Must be a legal resident of Texas, age 18 or older. No limit on ticket purchases by one person. All major credit cards, cash, and checks accepted. Winning names will be drawn Saturday, May 4, 2024. Need not be present to win. Ticket price is not deductible as a charitable contribution. Winners will be notified on May 6, 2024, and must claim prizes within 30 days of drawings. Prize recipient is responsible for all taxes and any IRS tax implications.
Packages based upon availability and must be scheduled on mutually agreed upon dates and times. The winner must make their selection within 10 days of being notified as the winner.
For Option A, some performances may not be available and will be based on Stage Management determination. A measurement/fitting session prior to walking will be requested. Prize must be redeemed during the 2024 production of A Christmas Carol (November 29 - December 28, 2024).
For Option B, Coaching sessions are a maximum of 1-hour in length.
For Option C, the costume design deadline is June 28, 2024 and the first fitting must be conducted by July 31, 2024. The final fitting must be held no later than August 30, 2024 to ensure delivery by October 15, 2024. Once design is determined, it cannot be changed.
