For over 28 years, the Distinctively Debutante Program has equipped young, high-achieving ladies with the tools to succeed in academics, leadership, and life. Inspired by Mrs. Serita Jakes’ vision, the program focuses on mentorship, personal development, college readiness, and financial literacy to help these young ladies excel and make meaningful contributions to their communities.
In the past three years alone, we’ve awarded over $700,000 in scholarships. This year, our goal is to provide each of our 50 Core Debutantes with a $10,000 scholarship, ensuring they have the resources to continue their journey toward becoming future CEOs, doctors, lawyers, and leaders in their fields.
The program challenges participants through a rigorous curriculum that emphasizes self-awareness, excellence, civic engagement, and character development. It culminates each year with an elegant Cotillion, where graduates are celebrated and introduced to the world as empowered young women.
