Golf Classic & Summer Party

For over 20 years, Summit Academy OIC has welcomed golfers and their guests to the Golf & Summer Party at prestigious local golf courses to learn more about how Summit Academy OIC changes lives. Supporters have provided the opportunity to thousands of underemployed people in our community to move into fulfilling careers, allowing them to restore dignity, break the poverty cycle, and set a new path for future generations.

At Summit, we believe that “The best social service program in the world is a job.’’ Join us for this very special annual event to engage in our mission and connect with others who share common values.

Golf & Summer Party 2022

About the Event

The Golf & Summer Party event provides two opportunities throughout the day. Join us beginning in the morning for 18 rounds of golf on a beautiful course designed by Jack Nicklaus with opportunities to hear from students and alumni along the course. Then stay for an exciting summer party to mingle with guests and friends from the Summit family.

If you prefer not to play golf or it doesn’t fit in your plans for the day, we hope you’ll come for the evening program for a great meal, impact stories from Summit graduates, a live auction, and a giving opportunity. Because of you, hundreds of students’ lives change each year thanks to the career and technical education, GED program, and STEM programming for youth at Summit.

We’d love to share with you what your support can accomplish! Join us, and bring a friend!

Meet this year's auctioneer from Fladebo Advancement, Katie Imholte Gabriel

The auction business has influenced Katie Imholte Gabriel for over 25 years, as she grew up working for her family’s auction company.  She earned a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and is a CPA and Business Development Director for a consulting firm in Minneapolis.  Katie advanced her auction career by attending the World Wide College of Auctioneering and holds her Benefit Auctioneer Specialist designation. She is a member of the National Auctioneers Association and the Minnesota State Auctioneers Association.

Katie is deeply involved in her community, as well as globally focused on business and humanitarian causes. She serves on local boards and has participated in volunteer service trips to India, Guatemala, and Haiti.  In recognition of her efforts to give back, Katie was awarded the MNCPA’s Public Service Award.  She lives in St. Louis Park with her husband (also an auctioneer) and their two young children. She brings a mix of passion, charm, and warmth to her work.

Fladeboe Advancement has established itself as one of the largest fundraising strategy companies in the country. The company offers a range of services including benefit event and campaign consulting, giving analyses, and donor stewardship planning.
