The cancer care specialists at Simmons Cancer Institute at SIU view the physical aspect of cancer treatment as only part of our comprehensive approach to care. Our commitment to patients is to treat the whole person -- not just the disease. Our unique approach fights cancer on all fronts, with every resource.

Denim & Diamonds provides the seed funds for critical and innovative cancer research, compassionate patient programs and further addresses the growing needs of our patient population.

WE ARE COMMITTED TO EXCELLENCE

The SIU Foundation’s mission is to maximize private support for Southern Illinois University Carbondale to assist the University in achieving its long-range goals. The Springfield Office collaborates with private donors, foundations and businesses to achieve the School of Medicine's strategic priorities as support for students, faculty and research.

The SIU Foundation solicits and accepts gifts manages and invests funds and property prudently distributes funds and property for educational and charitable purposes.

The SIU Foundation is an independent, nonprofit corporation that exists solely to serve the educational, service and research missions of SIU Carbondale.  It is a designated 501(c)(3) organization.  The Foundation has appropriate approval from the Internal Revenue Service to issue tax deductible receipts for private gifts received to support Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
