About Our Organization
About Us
For over 40 years Zarrow Pointe has provided vibrant and inclusive living, learning, and care to thousands of seniors in the Tulsa community.
It has been our vision to re-imagine senior living in a way that best describes the kind of place, and the kind of people we would most trust to care for those we love.
One way we honor the legacy of those we serve is by doing our part to protect the planet for the children and grandchildren who will inherit it.
“Expanding our solar energy initiatives is part of our commitment to building a sustainable future.”
Our residents
Driven by the desire to leave a lasting legacy, the seniors in our community are leading the way in building a sustainable future for their families and future generations.

Col. Ray Bachlor, 98, is a 1960 University of Tulsa physics graduate who dreams of seeing big changes in Oklahoma through energy conservation and solar-powered living. “We need to learn from states like Hawaii and California, where homes and retailers are effectively leveraging the power of solar energy.”
In 2018, Col. Bachlor’s conservation efforts culminated in the installation of Oklahoma’s largest solar-powered parking structure at Zarrow Pointe. Ray hopes that Zarrow Pointe’s solar carport, which currently generates 100-kilowatt hours of energy a day, will inspire Tulsa retailers to replicate the effort.

Our Goal:
“Our residents understand the idea of Tikkun olam (repairing the world), and take that adage seriously. They are committed to leaving this world better than they found it.
Additionally, going “green” is not only the right thing to do for the environment, it also makes good economic sense. With the installation of solar panels on our roof, we expect to save roughly $70,000 - $80,000 per year on utility expenses. That is what we call a “win/win”!
