The Distinctively Debutantes is a nationally acclaimed program founded in 1997 by Lady Serita A. Jakes! Through years of serving women and youth, Lady Jakes observed that far too many lacked self-confidence, direction and the skills necessary to have an impactful future. Seeing the dire need to pour back into the next generation, she created this hands-on experience.
The Distinctively Debutantes Program affords young girls ages 10- 17 years old an opportunity to receive life coaching and mentorship, bridging together many of the family, education, and economic voids that exist in our communities. Over the last 27 years, we have graduated over 1,000 young ladies, many of whom have become CEOs, doctors, lawyers, educators and so much more!
