Pets & Pours

Pets & Pours is a dog and family-friendly fundraiser hosted by Michiana Humane Society at Friendship Botanic Gardens. The event features a dog-walking course through Friendship Botanic Garden's beautiful 100+ acres of hiking trails and gardens. Proceeds from ticket sales support Michiana Humane Society and fund the care of almost 1,000 homeless pets that we will care for this year.

 

All dogs attending must be leashed (no retractable leashes!) and up-to-date on vaccines. All handlers of dogs must be over 18 years old.

 

There will be delicious food (with a vegetarian option!) from The Dogg House! Beer/wine vendors include Burn 'Em Brewing, Journeyman Distillery, Shady Creek Winery and Zorn Brew Works. We will also have a non-alcoholic option for you thanks to Pink Mango joining us! Stay tuned for more food and drink vendors to be announced! We will have live music from the Help Hounds, a raffle, pup parade and Joey D returning as our MC!

 

Pet of the Year Competition

Leading up to event day, we'll host our 4th annual Pet of the Year competition, where beloved pets compete to raise the most funds for the shelter.

Here’s how it works: pets go head-to-head to raise donations from friends, family, and fans. The pet who raises the most wins the coveted title of MHS Pet of the Year and a fabulous prize package!
