Blessed with a natural talent and a passion for the craft, Chef Doug Flicker is lauded for his vision, attention to detail, high standards, dedication, and distinct style of food. He’s equally comfortable preparing stunning dishes with caviar or racks of lamb as he is making mouth-watering hamburgers and chicken wings.
Chef Flicker won Minnesota Monthly’s Local Chef Challenge in 2012 and has been nominated six times for the James Beard Award, considered one of the nation’s most prestigious honors recognizing culinary leaders. When his restaurant Piccolo closed in 2017, Minneapolis-St. Paul Magazine called it one of the best restaurants in the history of the Twin Cities. Anthony Bourdain was amazed to find such talent in Minnesota, and Andrew Zimmern called him “one of the best chefs in the country that no one outside of Minnesota knows about.”
