For the past decade, this signature event has united individuals celebrating and supporting ChicagoCAC’s vital work: Investigating abuse, advocating for children and families, educating the community about prevention, and restoring the lives of children impacted by sexual abuse and other trauma. Thanks to the generous support of our donors, corporate partners and philanthropic supporters, the Luminary Award Dinner has raised millions of dollars to provide critical services for children and families impacted by abuse—ensuring access to healing, justice, and prevention.

Our Luminary Award Dinner hosts 400 Chicago area professionals, community leaders, and other friends of ChicagoCAC who come together to celebrate and support our mission and vision. We hope you will make plans to join us!

Our 2025 Luminary Award Recipients 

During this special evening, we honor exceptional leaders whose dedication has strengthened the protection and well-being of Chicago’s children. This year’s Champions for Children, Melissa Washington and Bill Dietz, have been instrumental in advocating for families affected by abuse. We will also welcome Angela Rose, survivor, advocate, and founder of PAVE, as our keynote speaker. Irika Sargent will return as our emcee for the evening.
